Economics and similar, for the sleep-deprived
A subtle change has been made to the comments links, so they no longer pop up. Does this in any way help with the problem about comments not appearing on permalinked posts, readers?
Update: seemingly not
Update: Oh yeah!

The "hostage" Freakonomics post will be released some time next week. In the meantime, one of those irritating "what links" questions that they sometimes do in the Guardian on Saturdays.
What L links Jack Abramoff, Nigel Short and Sir Peter Maxwell-Davies, and the world's only two legged equestrian monumental statue?

Run and hit and run and hit and run
No time for anything at the moment - actually writing quite a lot on planes, trains and automobiles, but a long way from my home computer to post it. I definitely need one of those cool new WiFi laptops. Anyway, check out this IMPORTANT UPDATE on the Iraqi translators campaign. I haven't heard anything back from Dobbo yet but will post it when I do. Do please also feel free to post it on your own blogs guys, even group blogs that you share with me as this site gets about a dozen readers, most of which come from an internet cafe in Gambia where one of my friends switched the homepage. Hullo Gambians by the way. As you can guess, the Freakonomics and natural resource curse posts have been a little delayed too.
