Theory

Now that the bookshops are chock full of Scandinavian murder mysteries, I find myself wondering if this doesn't throw something of a light on that region's anomalously high "suicide" rate.

  1. Do you think the statisticians are incorrectly recording murders as suicides, or do you think the authors are incorrectly attributing murder mysteries to suicides?

  2. I think that if I had to trust any nationality in the world to carry out a murder and get away with it, it would be the Swedes.
