Maybe it's the old civil servant in me, but I bloody hate it when people mess around with the Chatham House rules. Whatever one thinks about Inayat Bunglawala, it's a pure and simple discourtesy to whoever organised the meeting.
"The meeting was held under Chatham House rules, so I won't go into what was discussed" - WTF? That doesn't even rise to the level of 'messing around'. Rather, he seems to have confused Chatham House with the ancient code of executive-washroom dickwaving ("Tom was there and Ed was there and Dave was there of course, but as for what we discussed I'm afraid you'll just have to wait for announcements, sorry about that...") Stupid.
